Possibilities for potential publication

- advocacy and information
NAVA  great site full of information for art practitioners - this is about to be my new  favourite site. Almost anything and everything I have wondered about the industry is explained here in great detail - an easy to read comprehensive guide that must be central to anyone involving themselves in the arts - what ever their role or stage of development.

- alternatives
- writing for (reviews and essays) or being written about

provides a look at the current issue and glimpses into a lot of other publications in the arts.

JCU library link Subject Resources http://cms.jcu.edu.au/libcomp/resources/subject/index.htm
This is available for submission of work.

The Broadsheet
Some articles available online that would not be available on other sites. I went into the current issue of Broadsheet, Vol 38 N0. 2. It has some important essays and images of the artist’s work for each article.

   - pamphlet and advertising
anteism - good site for idea for and costings of zine production - publishing contemporary artist boos, simes monographs and art prints. Includes a blog with examples, hints and tips and also links to web based resources

      - zines and books
Warren Craghead  - This is a very interesting site, this artist has marketed himself by offering a simple artists book (ready to print) for free download from his website (this has been link referenced  on several others sites) - once there, he has strong grapic representations of all his work - which is both traditional media and new media design.
     - blogging
Blogger  Blogging is a powerful way to get ones work, ideas out to a broad audience in a meaningful way and also to network with industry collegues. However, to create a blog requires time, contemplation and risk-taking. So the following are some thought provoking links which involve not only how to design an effective blog but how to get that blog noticed and read.
Alternatively the blog can be there as a potential marketing tool - access can be given strategically to contacts made elsewhere.
* ezine - how to get your blog noticed widely and quickly, really comprehensive overview.
* pingomatic - this site 'pings' or records updates on searchengines for you autmatically
* blog tips - huge amount of info, including self evaluation articles
  - youtube and social networking
